10 Philosophies of the Ant – Hard Work Always Pays Off
“All the so-called ’secrets of success’ will not work unless you do.” This is a quote by an unknown author that hit the nail head on. So many people desire success yet they wait for it to slap them in the face. We’ve all heard of the old saying, “Nobody ever drowned in their own sweat!” We aren’t saved by our faith alone, but by our “Works” also. Basically, if you want something done, you’d better get your butt up and do it. The Lord worked for 6 days and then he rested on the seventh. There is much to learn from all this. Basically success, fortunes and dreams aren’t created by themselves. They are created by work.
Now, there are different kinds of work. Hard work is not defined by how much you sweat or how many ditches you can dig. Work is defined by your productivity. “You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.” ~Jim Rohn
For me to make $1000 by working 10 hour days for a week straight is work alright, but is it productive work? If I were your employer, I would say yes! If I were the employee, I would say no! You see, there is something that ants understand very well. They understand the power of a small word called “leverage!” Can a single ant feed an entire colony? Do a few ants collect the food while the rest hang out with the queen? No! So, think about who you’d like to be in this scenario. Do you want to be the worker ant or the queen? The worker has only leveraged his own efforts. True success comes when you can figure out how to leverage your time with the efforts of others and at the same time, adding value for everyone involved.
There are only 24 hours in a day. We all get those same 24 hours right? So, whether you get rich or whether you get broke is a measure of what you have done with your 24 hours. Success, the same as failure, doesn’t happen overnight or in one swift decision. It happens by one small act or failure to act, duplicated over and over, for a period of time! Work requires action rather than sweat. Work requires productivity rather than the ability to just stay busy. Work requires will and ambition rather than complaining and remorse. If success didn’t involve work, I think almost everyone would be doing it! Then again, there are those who still would not do it because thinking can be work.
The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. Understand that the first philosophy of the ant is: Hard work always pays off. In the words of an previous mentor of mine, “The field is white, all ready to harvest, so just forget yourself and go to work!”

Throw a Wrench in the Rat Race With Financial Freedom
“Rhetorical question”; why is it we can only aspire to be financially free? Will hitting the lottery for millions of dollars give you financial freedom? If you do not have a million dollar income, what do you think will eventually happen to your millions? Ok, big ideas do start out as dreams but if you do not implement anything that is all they are, dreams.
It seems to me that we under utilize our capacity to take on challenges outside of the norm. What I mean is, it can be a daunting task to go to a job 5 to 6 days out of the week, work 8+ hours a day, take care of home and family, then try to start a home based business that will give you the financial freedom you deserve.
The “rat race” is a term used to describe work schedules shared by a large number of individuals and it has been widely used by Robert Kiyosaki in his “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” books. (Great books, by-the-way).
For example, in a heavily populated areas the “rats” converge on the highways, byways, streets and public transportation trying to get to or coming from work.
Those in route to their jobs are often “on edge” which causes a great deal of stress. Stress is not something any of us want accumulating out of control.
The alternative is a successful home based business that allows you freedom to stay at home and avoid the work rush, freedom to enjoy some of the daily pleasures you miss while at work, freedom to indulge in things your previous financial situation would not allow.
Being self employed would allow you to call your own shots and relieve stress associated with the travel to work (and the work, at work).
Some that are “self employed” have associated work stress because of the field they chose, location, employees, etc. Restaurants, bars, clubs, convenience stores, etc all have stressful day to day demands. You can leave those stressful positions to those that chose them.
“An online home based business will not take you away from your home but you can take your business anywhere ” . This is financial freedom planning.
Not having to leave home to get paid or get paid while your anywhere, doing anything is freedom at its best.
If you have a stressful household or the company you keep that is another issue you will have to work out. My advise to you is how to achieve work related financial freedom.
Removing the elements of having to follow a dress code, be on time and punch a time clock can possibly lower your blood pressure and other stress related symptoms.
Studies show that driving related stress is most common in society today. The anticipation of your destination and road rage can raise blood pressure.
Financial freedom lowers stress related to finances; that coupled with the fact that you did not have to leave home will work out in your best interest.
“Having the freedom to work when you want can be damaging if you do not have the discipline to work when you need to”.
Plan , budget and know when you need help. Do not be fooled into thinking home based business entrepreneurs “did it on their own”. It may appear on the surface that some successful home based business owners had little help but this is far from the truth.
ServicesAreUs.com offers you free information to point you in the right direction for financial freedom.
Online home based businesses like search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, article marketing and Google Adsense are a booming industry that should be considered in your quest to financial freedom.
An Internet home based business is not an “end all” but can be a great start.
The purpose of this article is to show those caught in the “rat race” that there is a way to end the madness. When you have a solid home based business plan that you actively work to achieve it will make your day a little better knowing you have a way out.

Simple Solutions for the Pack Rat in You
As the tree buds blossom and the first flowers of Spring bloom, many individuals begin to look for ways to start anew in their lives and homes. Here are suggested solutions to simplify, clear out the clutter and create space.
Don’t De-clutter, Create Space
Even if you don’t consider yourself a pack rat, belongings can overflow homes and take up valuable space. If you don’t have much storage space, or if your attic, basement, and garage are filled to capacity, it may be a good time to create space and become organized.
Rather than using your “extra rooms” as permanent storage facilities, think about what you could do with that space if you had another solution. Have you ever wanted a room for a home gym, an arts-and-crafts work table, or children’s study desk? Well, you may not have to move to a bigger home to solve your problem. The answer may be as simple as finding a flexible, secure, and convenient storage solution offered by a portable storage and moving company.
Simplify Life, Don’t Throw Away Your Memories
Cleaning up and clearing out unnecessary junk is an important part of the Spring Clean. But, sometimes you don’t want to get rid of everything just because you don’t use it regularly. Heirlooms, collections, and other possessions with sentimental value shouldn’t be thrown away if you are not ready or willing. Keep your grandmother’s fine china, antique vanity table, and your collection of model cars. But, don’t clutter up your garage and attic. Live simply and reduce stress by considering other alternatives. Enlisting the assistance of a portable storage and moving company may be the solution to help you keep your memories protected, accessible and out of the house.
Here are some tips to begin the process of clearing out the clutter.
1.) Go room-by-room
2.) Set aside a couple of hours
4.) Make quick decisions – Trash, Sell/Give Away, or Store
5.) Have a trash bag ready
6.) Focus on surfaces first, and then open cabinets and drawers
7.) Call a portable storage company to deliver your storage container
8.) Place an ad to hold your garage sale
9.) Create a plan to prevent the build-up in the future
Making The Call
A de-cluttered home is a phone call away. Here is how it works:
1.) Call one of the leading portable storage and moving companies to have a storage container delivered to your home.
2.) Fill it at your convenience – take a day, a week, a month, or as long as you desire.
3.) When you are ready, the container is taken to a secure, climate-controlled warehouse.
4.) If you need to access your belongings, the container can be re-delivered to your home within 24 hours, or you can visit the warehouse yourself.
5.) You can have the container moved locally or anywhere in the country if you decide to relocate.
Following these simple suggestions will give your inner pack rat a clean start and help to simplify and de-stress your life.

Tips For Getting Rid Of Pests
If you have wasps or hornets in and around your home, it is essential to take steps to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Not only is getting rid of wasps and hornets an important step in keeping your family safe, but it is also essential for keeping your home in good shape. After all, wasps and hornets can cause quite a bit of damage with their nests.
Therefore, if you live in or around the Los Angeles area and are experiencing wasp or hornet problems, it is a good idea to contact a professional Los Angeles pest control company to handle the problem. In this way, you can be sure the wasps will be removed in a safe and thorough manner.
When it comes to getting rid of wasps, hornets and other stinging insects, it is helpful to know more about the type of insect you are facing.
Although there are many different types of stinging insects that you might encounter, some of the more common ones include…
Paper Wasps
In general, paper wasps won’t cause problems to humans. If they build their nests in a high-traffic area, however, they can be quite a nuisance. In addition, they tend to build their honeycomb-shaped nests on the sides of homes, where they can be quite unsightly. When trying to get rid of these wasps on your own, you should wait until nighttime when the wasps are less active. Then, spray the nest with a pressurized wasp killer.
Bald-Faced Hornets
These territorial hornets live in large aerial nests and tend to feed between dusk and dawn. Their nests should also be sprayed at nighttime.
Yellow Jackets
Highly aggressive and territorial, yellow jackets have been known to repeatedly sting humans who are trying to destroy their nests. Therefore, for your own personal safety, it is in your best interest to contact a professional Los Angeles pest control company if you have a yellow jacket infestation rather than trying to eradicate them yourself.
Getting rid of wasps, hornets and other stinging insects can be a tricky task. If you are going to try to take on the job yourself, be sure to spray the nest at night when the insects are less active. Also, always wear multiple layers of clothing, as well as a pair of thick gloves, to better protect yourself. You should always move slowly so you do not catch the attention of the insects you are trying to destroy.
In order to ensure your safety and guarantee good results, it is always a good idea to contact a professional Los Angeles pest control company when getting rid of wasps, hornets and other stinging insects.

Philosophies of the Ant – Know Your Objective
What does it truly mean to know your objective and do just that? First off, you must clearly define your objective, or your goals. This means you must know what it is, where it will come from, when you are going to accomplish it, and the steps that will lead you to that end.
Let’s use the ant as an example. An ants objective is to gather food for the entire colony. That is objective number one. Objective number two is to protect the colony. There isn’t much lolly gagging around. To an ant, getting food is primary until threatened. Then protection is primary. It is about survival.
Let’s relate this to running a successful business or becoming an entrepreneur. Your first objective is to gather food, or income, or raise. Nothing else should step in the way of that. Make it a priority. Set apart your “income producing” time. Get that time done before moving on to anything else. In Network Marketing or a Home Based Business, it is very easy to be distracted by other things. While working from home, there are kids to play with, wife or husband to help out, things to clean or build, babies crying and activities that do not add to the “income producing” ones. Do not let these get in the way. Set your priorities and tackle them in order of importance.
Get clear on your objective. Operate as you are already there and as though it is happening. This comes about through visualizing your goals. Once already at the end goal or the final destination, it is easier to see the steps you must take to arrive there. You can begin to work backwards and figure things out that might not be otherwise anticipated.
And always, always, always be a master of one. In other words, don’t be a jack of all trades and a master of none. When you start a business, project, or job, finish that one first or make that one the most successful first before you attempt to look elsewhere. I have known people who have started three Home Based Businesses all at once! Guess which ones failed? All of them failed! There is power behind concentrated and channeled focus. When directed to one objective, success happens!
So let us be more and think more like the ant. Even though it is pure instinct and the nature of the ant, I have not doubt that the ant is thinking “food, food, food, food” the entire time it is looking for it. It definitely isn’t thinking about the sexy queen ant it met the other day. It is extremely focused on the objective, and thus, extremely successful!
This is the second of the 10 Philosophies of the Ant.
